Naturopathic Health Tips
It seems like every week there is a new story about the benefits or dangers of coffee consumption.
So, is coffee good or bad?
Let’s take a closer look at the current science to get to the bottom of this.
New research has concluded that drinking 2 cups of coffee per day reduces your chance of developing cancer by 3% and reduces the chance of liver cancer by 43%.
These effects are due in part to coffee’s anti-inflammatory actions, antioxidant properties, and increased insulin sensitivity. There is also an inverse relationship between coffee consumption and death rates. The more coffee that is consumed, the lower your risk of heart disease, respiratory disease, accidents, and infections.
Bottom line: enjoy your morning coffee and the health it provides!
