There is a fun children's area in which to entertain the little ones. With the lake and Riparian Preserve directly adjacent, the grounds around the library are fascinating. You should spend some time in the library and then take a fun stroll.
So many novels, so many alternatives. You can buy books for adults and children for just a couple of bucks, and many of them are new. With access to many research tools, you can use computers. They've got a good range of new DVDs, magazines and books. A truly incredible community resource.
The workers here are all so marvelous. The steps put in place specifically come from individuals who are listening to doctors and scientists. It is easy to order books online and then, at my leisure, pick them up. This is a clean facility which is very well managed.
There is always something going on at the Southeast Regional Library: one part library, one part community center. They have an outstanding and comprehensive collection, since it is part of the Maricopa County Library District.
For a suburb of a major city, the library itself is a little on the small side, but it is part of a network, so the collection is big!
Since it's a little on the small side, reserving a room can often be hard, but the staff are fantastic and will do all they can to help you get what you need.
The library is well structured, the staff are super friendly, there are plenty of seating areas, and there are plenty of computers. Holds from other divisions are also still shipped and easily available. The staff were good at performing curbside pickups during the pandemic as well. Unable to ask for a great library!
The pick up drive works very well. The current pandemic has caused significant interruptions in how the Maricopa Public Library will function. Only book the things you want, wait to be informed that they are available, and then prepare to arrive contact-free at your location of choice to pick up. You need a mask, a card from your library, and a little patience. The workers have the procedure figured out. Planning on arriving early and being careful.
It's a good spot for reading and sitting. The view of the lake surrounding it is really calming. They have new releases and newer titles conveniently right inside the front entrance. Overall, workers are very friendly and supportive. They still have a smile!
