Desert Breeze Railroad

The Desert Breeze Railroad is a historic railroad that operates off I-10 in Chandler. The excursion train was built by the Union Pacific and Southern Pacific railroads, and was used to haul freight until the 1990s. Today, it's open for tours on weekends from March through November. You can choose between an hour tour or a two-hour tour of the line. If you're looking for something new to do with family or friends, this might be just what you need!

There are five cars in total that you can ride in: four of which have been converted into passenger carriages each with its own historical artifacts; one has been left as a decommissioned steam locomotive! Tours begin at the Desert Breeze Railroad Museum where you're given instructions about how things work before heading out onto the tracks--don't forget to bring your camera!

A Guide to Arizona's Miniature Railroads: The Desert Breeze Park Railroad

Located on the outskirts of Chandler, Arizona is a serene oasis known as Desert Breeze Park. An urban fishing lake provides hours of entertainment for those who have come to fish while children and adults alike enjoy playing on the equipment in their leisure time. For some lighthearted fun, visitors can take an approximately 7 minute train ride around five minutes worth of track that will give them views from different scenery points along the way with minimal fees attached-a fantastic deal!

The track is a "dogbone and loop design" that crosses a 25 foot trestle, follows the contour of an urban fishing lake before circling around a grassy knoll at end of the dogbone. After retracing its steps along the lake and over the trestle, The train travels through tunnels disguised as old west mining towns with some playground equipment nearby on it's way to just crossing two impressive 150-foot long bridges in order to get back onto the loading platform where passengers can await their next adventure.

For years, the train at Desert Breeze Park was popular among park visitors. Suddenly one day it just disappeared without any warning and everyone was left wondering where they went. According to a handwritten note on an old post that served as the only notice of closure, company J&E Enterprises filed for bankruptcy in 2011 leaving many people angry about not being able to ride their favorite attraction anymore or find out why exactly this happened when there are no other rides or attractions around!

The Desert Breeze Park had a train concession until 2004, when it was closed to the public. In 2017 Bill Capell purchased and re-opened this station with his three other locations in Arizona; Freestone Park, Enchanted Island Express Station and Daisy Mountain Railroad.

Desert Breeze Park is a unique place for children and adults alike! The park has designated runs throughout the day, so you can spend your time in peace with nature or do some running of your own.
