Over the years, you have learned a lot. However, as the years pass, it seems that there is so much more you want to know. They deliver the New Adventures in Learning program because of you. It's built for retirees who enjoy learning new skills and learning about new subjects without having to worry about grades, homework, or exams. It's lifelong learning for the sake of learning.
One of the state's main lifelong learning services is New Adventures of Learning. Learn how it all works, including where classes are held, how much you can expect to pay, and the membership benefits.
They offer courses during the spring, summer, and fall semesters at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. There are a number of courses to choose from in their catalog, including lecture series, discussion groups, hands-on courses, field trips, and more.
They are still on the lookout for active members of the group to join their all-volunteer team. Learn how you can lend a hand in the classroom or behind the scenes.
Meet the people who make the New Adventures in Learning program possible, including their volunteer council members and CGCC employees.
Learn about New Adventures in Learning, a program for Arizonans who are nearing or have reached retirement age who want to continue learning and exploring — without the stress of homework, exams, or grades. It's learning for the sake of learning.
How does it work?
Each spring, summer, and fall, the program, which is completely run by volunteers and sponsored by CGCC, provides seniors with access to hundreds of classes. From military history and genealogy to blogging and current affairs, there's something for everyone. Best of all, for a low annual membership fee of $50 that goes to the NAIL organization, plus a $15 fee collected by CGCC per semester, you can take as many classes as you want.
To enter New Adventures, you must first enroll as a CGCC college student. There are two options for accomplishing this.
- To submit a New Adventures student application form, send an email to nail@cgc.edu.
- You can also submit a New Adventures student application form by calling 480-857-5500 and leaving a message with your name, phone number, and email address.
To begin the process, you will be emailed a form.
